The Priessing is Ritas

Today, a few members of the Los Angeles Kings made a much hyped appearance on TV's "The Price is Right." Heidi Androl will probably have 18 more "behind the scenes" segments about this, but here are my highlights:

Denis Gauthier makes his physical presence known... to the cue card guy.

Even David knows you aren't supposed to clear the puck
up the middle with 2 minutes left in a game.

The first part of the Kings prize package were 2 "Icebox Tickets" to a Kings hockey game.

I think that means they get to sit with this guy.

The announcer also says "you'll get to sit close enough to hear the puck hit the goal post." Hmm... I get to hear that when I listen to the game on the radio. And I didn't have to wait in line in front of CBS Television City all morning.

Derek Armstrong... sporting the "A."
This was definitely taped before the season started
.
This is also the closest Armstrong has gotten to the ice all season.

The rest of the segment was uneventful and mostly awkward. Kyle Calder proved that he is bad at hockey AND acting and I guess the Marketing Team that put the Kings and Price is Right together didn't think that the future Captain of the Kings needed to appear in any speaking roles. And Bailey... well he was just Bailey being Bailey.

I think it's awesome that David from Florida got to pass on an ice hockey package and ended up winning a snowmobile. Here is the entire Showcase Showdown:
